Oral History research on MR. Clark
After a while many people started to hate the Vietnam War and stopped supporting it. There were movement s during the war trying to get the War to end. Finally the Vietnam War ended in 1975 when the South Vietnamese government fell. The men were not supported at all when the returned home. Even before then many returning veterans from the war began to speak out about the war large numbers. Some veterans even returned their medals since they were so upset of the war. Also the public's faith was decreasing after the war. Americans living standards went down because the government had spent so much money and didn't increase any taxes, so it is hard for them to pay for it all. The living standards started to go up in the early 1990's.
